About Us
The Iloilo Doctors’ Library has served the Iloilo Doctors’ College Community since 1985. It was constructed in the extension of the left-wing, second floor of the New Administrative Building. It housed not only the College Library but it includes the IDC Medical Library. From the College’s founding in 1972 until that time, the library was housed in a building that also contained classrooms and the student commons.
The College’s physical facilities and building expansion were set up at the extension campus on Timawa Avenue where the College of Dentistry resided, in the year 1982. The year 1983, a 3-story building was constructed at South Timawa Campus and later assigned to the College of Nursing. From the late 1990s to 2010, the College library provided an extension library in service to the College of Nursing Community as a Nursing Library and the College of Dentistry Community as a Dentistry Library located on each designated campus. This coming academic year 2011-2012, the college developed a new centralized library located on the 3rd floor of the new building main campus.
In June 2019, the Dentistry Library was transferred again to the Dentistry campus, to become more accessible to all the students and faculty.
